In order to help promote the health benefits of Avocados From Mexico among U.S. Hispanics, our creative team decided to partner with an ideal spokesperson for the brand: Mexican pop star and lifestyle influencer Thalia.

With Cocina Para el Corazón con Thalia (Cook for the Heart with Thalia), we offered consumers a unique opportunity to interact directly with Thalia while learning how to adopt a healthier avo-centric diet. Once registered on the website, participants received personalized voice, SMS and video updates from Thalia to guide them through a 30-day healthy eating challenge with special recipes and cooking tutorials. Meanwhile, social media shareability allowed users to show off their challenge milestones and invite friends to participate.

Avocados From Mexico wanted their chatbot to humanize the brand and speak to U.S. consumers in a genuine way, so our creative and technology teams combined 3D animation, artificial intelligence and a culturally nuanced voice to bring her to life in the form of Selma Avocado.

A convivial and savvy Mexican-American woman in her mid-30s, Selma knows everything there is to know about avocados, and she’s here to guide you through the process of selecting, prepping, cooking and eating them. Think of her as the friendly Latina neighbor you go to for the best recipes and kitchen tips.
